Jesus Is Lord Church Canada West is Reopening!

JIL Church Canada West, covering the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwest Territories, will be reopening this coming Sunday, July 12, 2020.

We want everyone to feel safe when entering any of our local JIL Church locations. The following guidelines have been set in place because the health and safety of JIL Members and all people are important to us. We will continue to make changes to these guidelines as needed and per the recommendation or direction of the government or relevant health agencies. Please note that while these are general guidelines of the JIL Church Canada West, some church locations will also be implementing additional policies of the rented facilities.

GUIDELINES FOR RE-OPENING as of July 6, 2020

1. THE CHURCH FACILITY

• The maximum occupant load capacity is as set by the government in conjunction with the actual owned/leased/rented space capacity having 2 meters physical distancing.

• Doors will be closed once the maximum occupant load has been reached.

• No mask, no entry. Masks must be worn at all times inside the premises.

• Temperature check at the entrance. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5 degree Celsius or higher will not be allowed to enter.

 

• Anyone with the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat will be advised to go home, rest and seek medical attention as needed.

 

• Maintain physical distancing at all times inside the church premises.

 

• Avoid at all times any close contact such as hand-shakes, mano, friendly hugs etc.

 

• Avoid crowding at all times in any part of the church premises.

 

• There will be a maximum number of persons that can be inside the washrooms and other rooms, if applicable.

 

• No shared food/drinks on premises.

 

• Hand sanitizers will be available at the entrance/exit doors of the church.

 

• There will be a one-way flow direction inside the premises, if possible. For owned/leased facilities, floors will be marked with arrows for direction.

 

• There will be a dedicated entrance and exit door, if possible.

 

• Workers will be assigned to direct and assist in the direction flow inside the church and monitor the washroom/rooms for maximum number of occupants.

 

• The premises, chairs, equipment and common touch surfaces will be sanitized before/after every service.

 
2. THE WORSHIP AND HEALING SERVICE and NIGHT OF PRAYER (Prayer Meeting) 

• Please contact your local church for service times. Multiple services may be offered.

 

• Duration of services will be adjusted to 1.5 hour.

 

• No altar calls during the services.

 

• The following options are offered for those who are not able to come to the church:

a. The local church may be streaming the service via a Zoom meeting. Please contact your local church.

b. All others can attend any of the livestream Sunday Worship and Healing Services via the following Facebook pages:

• Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide – Saturdays: BC - 7pm | AB, SK & NWT - 8pm | MB - 9pm
• JIL Vancouver – Sundays: BC - 10:30am
• JIL North Calgary – Sundays: AB - 10:00am
• JIL Winnipeg – Sundays: MB - 10:30am

 

• Pre-registration of attendees for the WHS and NOP at the church is required. Please contact your local church.
  • Vulnerable people such as seniors etc. are discouraged to attend in person.
  • By registering to attend the WHS and/or NOP, you are declaring the following statements:
    • I hereby declare that I or anyone in my household is not or has not been infected with the COVID-19 virus and also has not been in contact with anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
    • I hereby declare that I or anyone in my household has not experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days (fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat).
    • If I or anyone in my household experience any cold or flu-like symptoms after submitting this declaration, I will then not visit the JIL Church owned/leased/rented facilities for a minimum period of 14 days after the cold or flu-like symptoms have completely gone away. This remains in effect during the entire COVID-19 pandemic unless communicated otherwise.  
    • I hereby declare that I or any member of my household have not travelled to or had a lay-over in any country outside Canada in the past 14 days. If I or anyone in my household travel to any country outside Canada after submitting this declaration, I will then not visit the JIL Church owned/leased/rented facilities for a minimum period of 14 days after the date of return to Canada.
    • I hereby release Jesus Is Lord Church Canada West, its Directors, Officers and Staff from any and all claims that I have or may have in the future for any loss or damage the I may suffer due to contracting COVID-19, including sickness or death, as a result of attending or using the JIL Church owned/leased/rented facilities.  
• A record of attendees at the church will be kept for at least 2 weeks for easier contact tracing of public health agencies.

 

• All Education training and Children’s Ministry will be held online. Children attending with their parents must seat together with their parents for the entire service.

 

• Attendees to avoid staying at the church premises after the service to have ample time to sanitize in between services.
