JIL High Level History

​JIL High Level Life Group Network started sometime in January, 2012. It was by the earnest desire and prayer of Sis. Marlyn Bautista that she started to do house-to-house visitations where she met Sis. Ardelyn Joaquin sometime within first quarter of 2012 that they partnered together in doing the home visitations even during winter time and praying together for the furtherance of God’s ministry here in town.
Sis. Marlyn also did her evangelism works then by distributing booklets of Our Daily Bread to people she meets at work. Coupled with fervent prayers and hard work, the sacrifices and prayers of Sis. Marlyn and Sis. Ardelyn resulted to the birth of the very first Filipino Bible Study in town with members coming from different denominations back  home as well as new converts.
Future workers from Jesus Is Lord Church abroad also arrived in town and members of Christian Churches back home also joined the group in the persons of Sis. Vicky Jose, Sis. Arlene Torres, Sis. Josie Jimenez with her entire family and Bro. Allan Gregorio.
Together, they all worked hand-in-hand to fulfill the will of God to establish Filipino Bible Study Group. More committed and dedicated workers and members joined the group with the arrival of the Acidre Family on August 03, 2013 who settled in the area because of transfer of employment.

The group continued to hold the Bible Study sessions and Night of Power every Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons. Having no Filipino Christian Church in the area, the group temporarily attends Sunday Worship Service at the High Level Full Gospel Church with its Pastor, Rev. Ray Lapka, being very supportive of the group.
With the Bible Study core group members coming from the Jesus Is Lord Church, it was decided to have the group to be under the leadership of Jesus Is Lord Church Canada. Hence, Ptra. Rowena Jagolino – Seron together with Pastors Shirley Mendiola and Nica Lazo – Jones visited the group on October 10 – 11, 2013 and finally recognized the High Level AB LGN as one of its own for God’s glory.
Since then, amazing and wonderful things have been happening in the Life Group in great numbers and magnitude. Finally, the first Sunday Worship Service was formally opened and launched on December 28, 2014 at the Executive House Suites Hotel and Conference Centre, 9815 – 101 Street, High Level AB T0H 1Z0 to fulfill God’s design on the Jesus Is Lord Church Mission, Vision and Core Values in a very simple yet very successful celebration with the attendance of 32 members and attendees with 4 children under 4 years old and 8 visitors from the High Level Full Gospel Church and 4 special guests from Jesus Is Lord Church Grande Prairie headed by Ptra. Nica Lazo – Jones.
The LGN core group members just entrust everything unto the Lord Jesus Christ dedicating themselves for the ministry and for the fulfillment of God’s will in the town of High Level AB as we proclaim God’s promise in Joshua 1:3 when God said, “I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.”
