THE POWER OF GOD’S LOVE IN MY LIFE
“What is more, I consider
everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.
I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ”. Philippians 3:8
I am Mrs. Charito Garingo-Balaodan, married
to Jessie Balaodan and blessed with one child, Charann.
I was raised in a family with conflicting beliefs of who
God really is. The knowledge about Jesus was not clear to me especially when I went to college to study. During that time,
I learned that God did not really exist… and for 14 years of teaching Evolution and Biology, this belief remained in
me--- that God was only a delusion.
I came to know our Lord Jesus through my husband with His grace. Before accepting
Him as my Savior, I lived a life where I placed high importance on who I was, took great pride of the excellent education
and achievements in my career. My reputation in the community was everything to me. This was because I did not have God in
my life. I believed that I will have everything in life if I worked hard for it. But I was proven wrong at a certain time
when nobody was there to help me. Even my years of teaching and the knowledge of the scientific facts can not do anything
to remedy my struggles… All I remember was that I was crying on my knees to God, saying, “Father I am sorry,
give me a chance’…
From the moment of my conversation, my life in Jesus Christ became incomparable
from what I had before. My life is just beginning with my husband and my daughter with God being on top of our priority. Since
then, there has been neither circumstance nor time in our lives that God’s greatest love was not there for us.
And to you my brethren, this is my vow to our Father in Heaven: that I will live my life to be the most faithful illustration
of His magnificent will.
I am sharing this testimony of mine not to try to convince you, but to share the amazing
goodness and unfailing love of Jesus to us all… To God be the Glory and thanksgiving… God bless!
