It was 2005 when JIL Canada adopted the JIL12 system as strategic program to fulfill the Mission and
Vision of Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide. As a result, there was a very significant numerical growth of cell groups and church
attendance in JIL Toronto Church.
In view of this expansion, a decision was made to have an early morning church service from
7 to 9 am. The immediate concern was the challenge of the time and transportation. The underground train starts at 9 am during
Sunday. In addition, buses run with an hour interval. Adding to the fact that most people were used to attend at a later time
of the day. After a series of fasting and prayer, a challenge was given to three cell group to form as the congregation for
this new time slot. A Church Management Team (CMT) was set-up to establish the leadership for this new work with the appointment
of a Church Coordinator in the person of Bro Nelson Maiquez who later became its Church Pastor. Thus, all of these things
happened on June 10, 2007.
There were challenges for the new congregation to arrive on time at this yet it grew eventually. Though
there were people that seem to be discouraged especially during winter months but again, they strived to fulfill their commitment
to the Lord’s work.
We believe that the best is yet to come. The leadership of the first service envisions having a church
building somewhere in the northern part of the city. This is in preparation for the great conquest for 2008 and beyond.
To God all be the glory!
