WHAT: CYN CAMP; WHEN: August
15-17 2008; WHERE: Praise Valley Campsite/ ukklek. *what we comfortably call the place* ... ha-ha! Another trip to the lake, yay! Or so we thought...
Everything started off according to all to our expectations. Everything was fun, fast and yeah... Really really fun!
Though some of us were unable to come, for some reasons that we just close our eyes to, we were good. It felt like summers
just moving in among us.
The people, the weather, the trampoline, the food (oh,
that sumptuous feast), the lake... it was perfect!
And at that time, God moved in and showed us why we
were there in the first place.
We are reminded of many things, things that are often
overlooked due to the fast pace of our daily lives, especially to the youth/young adults like us.
Re-aligning
our passion in our chosen ministry, being compassionate for the lost, revitalizing our spiritual gifts and reviving the MISSION VISION of our ministry, the Christian Youth for the Nation.
We as the
next generation of leaders must understand the weight of responsibility that God has given us.
CYN is not
just a name.
It is not just an organization.
It is Gods
own way of telling the world that being a servant does not take account of ones age and position in life. There is no such
thing as TOO YOUNG or TOO OLD to be in service to our Almighty God.
Using the distinctive
fire of youth to burn in serving Him, we will conquer everything! All our sins, all our flaws, all our earthly desires. It
will be hard most of the time, but rest assured, He will make everything possible for us. And using this passion, we will
and CAN make a difference. Not just to our Church, not just to our peers But most importantly, to our unbelieving brethrens.
Being different by being an avid follower of Christ, is what being a CYN really means!
I KNOW.. I CAN.. I WILL! IT IS TIME TO CONQUER!
