Born in the island of Romblon, Philippines known as the “Isles of Marble”
situated in the heart of Philippine archipelago on January 13, 1955. He was the 5th child of Mr. Tomas Bencion Dagampat, retired
lightkeeper of Apunan Point Lighthouse Station, Agpanabat, Romblon and Mrs. Maria Magallon Murchante.
Met the Lord and became a Born Again Christian on July 10, 1988 during the days of Jesus Is Lord Fellowship in Araullo
High School Quadrangle at Taft Avenue, Manila, Philippines. Afterwards, he volunteered to serve as a church worker in the
Ushering Ministry, Prayer and Fasting and Sunday school in JIL Manila. Furthermore, he took the 6-month Exhorter’s Course
given by the JIL Manila School of Ministry. In 1992, he was assigned as a home church pastor in Frisco, Quezon City, Philippines
for 6 months before migrating to Canada.
He graduated from University of the East, finishing
a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Accounting major. As a student he worked in a law office firm as a messenger,
a travel and tour agency, and later worked in a fashion designer/couture shop of Rikki Jimenez.
He
migrated to Canada in 1992 and stayed in a small friendly town of Stouffville, Ontario. He lived with his family and worked
in Tim Horton’s for 9 years as a production staff and a baker.
By 1993, he attended
the JIL Toronto and became a Worship leader for 7 years. He also served as the head of the Music Ministry. In 1997, he was
appointed as the Ontario Mission Outreach Coordinator (OMOC). This position gave him the opportunity to minister through teaching
and preaching in JIL Ottawa and JIL Montreal once a month.
By September 2000, he accepted
the challenge to become a full time pastor of JIL Canada and moved to Vancouver in March 2001 as the Church Pastor of JIL
Richmond and JIL Victoria, BC consecutively.
Presently, the fulfillment in his life has been achieved
by the call of God as the bearer of God’s Word as stated in John 8:12, “Jesus said, I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness” Thanks be to God that although he did
not obey the desire of his father to become a lighthouse keeper in Romblon, he became the torch bearer of God’s illuminating
word.
