Rev. Evelyn Licayo
Originally from Mountain Province, Philippines and born in September 1959, Evelyn is the
fourth child out of five siblings from Mr. Francisco and Mrs. Rosario B. Licayo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical
Technology from Saint Louis University, Baguio City on March 1979. During her stay in Hong Kong as a contract worker, she attended the Jesus Is Lord Church (JIL) on June
1989 until she arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia on August 21, 1991 and continued her involvement in the newly established
JIL Church in White Rock, British Columbia (BC) as well. In JIL BC, she became one of the volunteer workers as the church treasurer, an Education ministry member and a cell
leader until becoming a full time worker on April 1994. One of her assignments as a full-time worker was being the Assistant Pastor of JIL BC chapter until becoming the
Church Pastor of the newly started JIL Surrey Church on August 1996. Concurrently since 1994, she is also a member of the
JIL Canada Board of Directors serving as the General Treasurer. On October 1998, a bigger assignment came when she accepted the challenge to become the Area Pastor of
JIL Alberta Chapter to supervise the JIL churches there with an additional assignment of being the Church Pastor of JIL Edmonton.
After two years in this assignment, she became an Ordained Minister on September 2000. Presently, Rev. Evelyn Licayo continues to oversee the growing number of JIL Churches in Alberta as its
Area Supervisor/Pastor.
